2D Code Reading Apps and Devices
A 2D Code Reading Application or "App" refers to computer software designed to assist the user in performing a specific task. Such an app can manipulate text, numbers, graphics, or a combination of each. They can be purchased, or sometimes simply downloaded for free, through an app store for most smartphones and tablets.

To access the patient's dental prosthetic data (Tier 1), use a smart phone or electronic tablet equipped with a 2D Code Reader App and internet access to scan either the embedded DPid code or the Identification Card. Or simply log onto DPid's website and enter the patient's Identification Number and either the patient, dental practice, or dental laboratory password.
