How Does DPid Work?
DPid Codes Materials and Embedding
All DPid Codes (data matrix) and Identification Numbers for dental prosthetics are black and laminated between two layers of translucent film that provide protection against abrasion, chemicals, water, and fading. The intent of the translucent film is to allow the DPid Code to aesthetically blend in with the natural color of the device. The DPid Code is further protected by a clear resin covering. Please note that the DPid Code cannot simply be adhered to the dental prosthetic. It MUST be sealed into place with a clear resin.
