SprintRay Pro 2

The SprintRay Pro 2 is built for dentists who want printing to be a routine chairside procedure rather than a lab project. The printer, wash unit, cure unit, cloud design service and onboard software are designed to work together, and interchangeable build kits let one machine switch between volume and speed.

The trade-off is openness and cost. A complete system is about $20,000, and we could not confirm support for third-party resins. If you want a system that guides you, it is a leading option; if you want to choose your own materials and spend less up front, compare it with the Form 4B.

What the SprintRay Pro 2 is

The Pro 2 is SprintRay's current general-purpose dental printer, launched in 2024. SprintRay describes its light engine as Optical Panel technology with 35 µm resolution and pure 385 nm UV-A light. It runs the company's PrintOS software on the device, connects to the cloud for updates and print jobs, and works with SprintRay's Cloud Design service, which uses AI to help design night guards and crowns.

Build kits

• Standard Kit: a large build area; SprintRay says it fits six or more full-arch models in one job.
• Arch Kit: a smaller platform for faster prints and less resin; up to twice as fast, by SprintRay's figures.
• Duo Kit: a split platform for printing two materials at the same time.

The kits are sold separately. On the SprintRay store we found the Arch Kit platform and tank bundle at $1,599, the Duo Kit bundle at $2,350, a standard resin tank at $320 and a replacement optical panel at $744.

Price and running costs

SprintRay published its own price breakdown in January 2026:

SprintRay estimates $4 to $6 of resin per crown and annual operating costs of roughly $3,450 to $5,000 including the protection plan. Those are the manufacturer's estimates. Where the Pro 2 is strong

• Workflow. One vendor for design, printing, washing and curing, with guided software.
• Range of applications. More than 15 supported workflows, including hybrid dentures with a resin SprintRay says is FDA cleared for that use.
• Flexibility. Build kits adapt the machine to the job.
• Resolution. 35 µm is among the finer figures in our database.

Where it falls short

• Up-front cost. About $20,000 for a working system, against $12,006 for a Form 4B Complete package.
• Openness. SprintRay offers its own and partner materials; whether any third-party resin can be used is not documented in our data. Ask before you buy.
• Accessory cost. The kits and cure units add up.
• Evidence. “4x throughput” and similar claims are SprintRay's; we have no independent study on file for the Pro 2.

Bottom line

Choose the Pro 2 if you want a supported, guided chairside system and are comfortable buying materials within SprintRay's ecosystem. Budget for the complete system rather than the printer alone, and ask directly about third-party resins.
