Archy

Archy is the clearest example of the all-in-one cloud approach: one flat price, and most of what a front desk uses already inside. At $899 per location it is at the top of published entry prices, but that figure includes unlimited users, two-way texting, online scheduling, forms, payments and claim submission, which are extras almost everywhere else.

The risk is youth. Archy has very few public reviews, the newest AI features are add-ons or still marked “coming soon”, and it is a closed platform: we found no third-party tools that list it as an integration. It fits a practice that wants simplicity and is happy to use Archy's own modules.

What Archy is

Archy is a cloud-based practice management platform for dental offices, used in a browser with a companion mobile app. The company says it has more than 35,000 active users and has raised a $50 million Series C round.

The platform price covers scheduling, online forms and kiosk mode, clinical charting, treatment planning, integrated imaging, clinical notes, online scheduling and review requests, claim management with unlimited submissions, billing, online and in-person payments, text-to-pay, a patient portal, unlimited two-way and bulk texting, email marketing, reporting, team chat and time tracking.

Pricing: published and flat

Over three years the platform alone costs $32,364 per location. That is the highest published total among the systems in our cost guide, so the question is what it replaces. Add up what you pay today for the practice management system, server and IT, patient texting, online forms, online scheduling and a clearinghouse. For many offices the sum is in the same range.

Two things to ask: the price of each add-on suite, since the AI features are not in the base price, and whether data conversion and onboarding are included.

Where Archy is strong

• Simple, predictable pricing. No per-user or per-provider fees, which suits offices with part-time staff and several hygienists.
• Fewer vendors. Texting, reminders, forms, online booking, payments and claims come from one system with one login.
• Built-in imaging. 2D capture is part of the product, with TWAIN support for existing sensors, so there is no imaging bridge to maintain.
• Start-up offer. $400 a month for a new practice is one of the few published start-up rates in the market.
• Ease of use. The small number of public reviews are mostly from front-office users who praise the interface and the time saved.

Where it falls short

• AI is extra, and partly unreleased. The AI scribe, voice perio and imaging analysis sit in the Clinical Suite add-on. Archy's website lists AI insurance verification and AI patient communication agents as coming soon.
• Closed ecosystem. None of the products in our database lists Archy as a supported system, and we could not verify a public API. If you depend on a particular AI receptionist, analytics dashboard or verification tool, check whether it can connect.
• Thin review record. Six reviews on Capterra is not enough to judge reliability. One detailed review from a clinician criticizes the tooth chart, the visibility of tooth history and X-ray management.
• Imaging beyond 2D. The sensor page covers intraoral sensors, cameras and phosphor plates. It does not mention panoramic or CBCT capture.
• Data migration. Reviewers mention effort during conversion, especially moving X-rays.

Bottom line

Archy is a strong option for a new or small practice that wants to pay one bill and keep the software stack simple. Before signing, get the add-on prices, confirm your imaging hardware, ask for two reference practices of your size that converted from your current system, and ask how you would export your data if you left.
